Chathuri Damayanthi is a contemporary Sri Lankan author who writes in Sinhala and rose to prominence as the co-author of the literary phenomenon Forget Me Not (Mal Kiniththaka Puraurthaya). Alongside her co-writer, Charitha Prawardhi Bandara, she helped create a novel that became a public sensation for its simple yet powerful exploration of love and emotional healing.
Beyond this landmark book, she has built a diverse body of work, including the notable novels Ehela Malata Dam Patak and Bahiravagale Nidhanaya. Her talent has been formally recognized with a nomination for the prestigious Rajatha Pusthaka Sammana award, where she was noted as the youngest nominee in her category.
